Authorities apprehended a 26-year-old Jackson County man Tuesday afternoon after a high-speed chase through Barry and Allegan counties.

The suspect, wanted for multiple felony crimes, was captured after he crashed the pickup truck he was driving on M-222 near 24th Street between Allegan and Martin in Watson Township.

He was being sought in connection with five home burglaries and stolen vehicle reports earlier in the Gull Lake area in Kalamazoo County.

The suspect was spotted in Allegan County by a Michigan Department of Natural Resources officer. A witness reported he led police on a chase that reached speeds as high as 100 miles per hour.

There were no reports of injuries in the incidents.
