Personnel at the Then & Now Historical Library in downtown Dorr are warning that unless some citizens step up and volunteer the history and genealogy services will cease, perhaps as early as the end of this year.
Then & Now has been a significant service to people who live in the northeast section of Allegan County, particularly focusing on Wayland, Dorr, Leighton, Hopkins, Martin, Monterey and Watson townships and the City of Wayland.
If the service is discontinued, the weekly “”Bygone Days” column also will be put out to pasture.
As the artwork, suggests, a variety of volunteer services is needed.
