A four-vehicle crash on U.S.-131 north of the Dorr exit blocked some traffic and slowed other vehicles to a crawl Tuesday afternoon. Authorities said the 142nd Avenue was closed temporarily because these two vehicles collided. Yankee Springs and Wayland fire departments responded. There were no reports of serious injuries.

Accidents occurred in the northbound lanes of the expressway north of 142nd Avenue. Troopers from the Wayland post of Michigan State Police indicated injuries were minor in the first incident involving four crashes. There was also a two-vehicle second crash, but it was not clear whether anyone was injured.
