Work is progressing at the site of the new carpenters and millwright training center at 700 Reno Drive, just east of General RV. The site can be viewed very easily by motorists just south of the Wayland exit on U.S.-131. The West Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters originally said they hoped to have the facility open by August of this year. Kevin Klingler, representing the non-profit company, said the center on a 191/2-acre site will employ 20 people and will welcome as many as 220 young people as apprentices in a year-round program.

Welcome, glad to have you in our community.
Welcome to high taxes and no services from the city. They do plow snow on the main road so you’ll be able to get to work.
What a great program. Have three nephews electric apprentices all have good jobs with no schooling debt. Hands on, can’t build house by reading a book.
It’s great to see a great Union Apprenticeship center in our town. The United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Joiners, & Millwrights has long prided itself on having the finest training programs for the Building Trades in the country. This is a wonderful addition to our region!
