Darcy Gene Nicholas, age 60, died at home Monday, Oct. 9.

Darcy enjoyed anything outdoors, including hunting, snowmobiling, gardening and fishing. He especially enjoyed deer hunting and got an eight-point buck off his front porch. He also loved watching anything fast, from NASCAR, Formula 1, or BMX racing.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Nicholas; children Erica (Matthew) Speelman, Dylan Nicholas; grandchildren Gabriel, Rosealie; his four-legged companion, Archie; and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gene and Kate Nicholas; brother, Quinton Nicholas; and mother-in-law, Priscilla Brenner.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
