Darrell L. McClung, age 81, died Friday, Jan. 19.

Darrell had a huge heart, who was willing to help anyone at any time. He was an amazing husband of 60 plus years, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend to so many. He raised four daughters, a son; and had a wife who challenged his desire for punctuality.

Darrell handled his excavating business of 40 plus years with the utmost integrity. He was a hard worker who enjoyed working up until the end of his days.

He loved deer hunting, nature, watching NASCAR with family, and loved to visit with friends and family. He also loved spending time with his grandkids and watching their activities.

He is survived by his wife, Carol McClung; children Michelle (Wade) Beck, Candie (Joe) Molette, Tammy (Rex) Prather, Holly (Greg) Bishop, Brett McClung; grandchildren Max (Macy) Beck, Genesis Beck, Autumn Molette, Nate (Shelly) Molette, Isabella, Jayden, Joslyn Prather, Trevor, Evan, Levi Bishop; one great-granddaughter on the way; siblings Duane McClung, Paul (Kathy) McClung, Marlene (Dick) Fisher, Dana McClung; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation with Darrell’s family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St., Dorr. Celebration of Darrell’s life will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 24, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. prior, at LifeChange Community Church, 3014 Newell St., Burnips.
