Longtime Hopkins resident Troy Lee Henry Glascott, a 1983 graduate of Hopkins High School, died Tuesday, July 24. He was 53.

Troy enjoyed fast motor sports, especially snowmobiling and motorcycling, also hunting, fishing, mushrooming, cooking, camping and time with family and friends. He enjoyed being a master craftsman in autobody and car restoration and enjoyed his career as an automotive insurance adjuster for several years.

He is is survived by his three children, Ashley (Klint) Blaauw, Caitlin (Nick) Brummel and Joshua Glascott, his two grandchildren Raelynn and Emry Blaauw, his parents Joyce (Henry) Mead, Kenneth Glascott and his step-mom Shirley (Calkins/Martin) Glascott, his siblings Jeff (Kelly) Glascott, Scott (Nancy) Glascott and Tamera “Tam Tam” (Brian) Baker, David (Kim) Martin, Donald (Jamie) Martin and Donna Martin (Yoash Raphael) and aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Troy was preceded in death by his step-dad Glen “Dad Toohey” Mead, his grandparents Leon and Hazel (Leggett) Glascott, and Wayne and Doris (Brenner) Henry.

Family and friends are invited to attend Troy’s celebration of life at 5 p.m. Saturday Aug. 11, for refreshments and visitation and then at 6 p.m. for his memorial service, both to be held at St Peters Lutheran Church, 4125 18th St., Dorr.
