Celebration of life later this year for Patrick Farrell, 48

Patrick Thomas Farrell of Hopkins, age 48, died at his home Thursday, April 13.

Patrick worked as a truck driver for Black Gold Transport. He could always be found wearing his cowboy boots, button up shirts, and one of his many hats. He loved spending time with his grandkids and loved them more than anything. When not working, Patrick was most likely to be found socializing with friends or found at home watching TV and spending time with his cat, Smalls.

Patrick (Cowboy) is survived by his children, Ashley (James) Denevan of Hopkins and Austin (Jordyn) Farrell of Lafayette, IN; their mother, Patti Farrell; three grandchildren Hunter, Scarlet, and Mia; his parents Steven and Joyce Farrell of Byron Center; his brothers Steven Farrell Jr and John (Meredith) Farrell; his sister Tracey (Jeff) Muoio; eight nieces and nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Alissa Farrell.

Patrick will be cremated, and the family is planning a celebration of life for him later this year.

Hopkins Community Church helped with the cost of Patrick’s death. Any memorial contributions can be made to the church in Patrick’s name or made to his daughter, Ashley Denevan, to help with any other expenses.

His family would also like to add that if you or a loved one is thinking about suicide, please call or text the Suicide Prevention Hotline at 988.
