David S. Kamyszek, 67, of Wayland, died Friday morning, April 10.

David will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A 1971 graduate of Wayland High School, he was a graphic artist for many years at the Wayland Globe, a meat cutter for D & W Supermarkets and perhaps most visibly in the community as a cashier at the Wayland Harding’s Market.

David suffered from health issues over the last decade of his life, beginning with complications from diabetes.

He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Ray and Florence Kamyszek. He is survived by his siblings Phil (Ruthie) Kamyszek, Tom (Leslie) Kamyszek, Edie (Dave) Edwards, and Lawrence (Sharon) Kamyszek; several loving nieces and nephews; several precious great-nephews and nieces; and many cousins and friends.

Because of the current health crisis, a private family viewing will be held with interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Mass and luncheon will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan or St. Therese Catholic Church. To plant a tree in memory of David S. Kamyszek, please visit the tribute store at the Cook-Kubiak Funeral Home.
