Frank (Bud) Collins, 85, Wayland died Wednesday Oct. 24.

After serving in the U.S. Air Force he met and married  Judy. He was a Grand Rapids police officer for 28 years before retiring and working at the federal marshal’s office. He retired from there to spend his time spoiling his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children Tricia and Mark Forbes, Frank (Marty) and Carrie Collins, Hal and Laurie Collins; by, his grandchildren Loren Forbes, Libby Collins, Julia Forbes, Megan Collins and Trey Collins. He also is survived by siblings Pat (Sterling) Seaton, Jim Gilbert, Bob and Joann Kowalski, Jean Kowalski, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy, siblings Jack Kowalski, Kathy Gilbert and Marilyn Clouse.

A celebration of his life will be Monday Oct. 29, at Gun Lake Community Church, with visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. and service from 7 to 8 p.m. Reception following.
