Celebration of life slated Thursday for Jan Drewyor

Former Kessler’s employee Jan Drewyor died Sunday, Dec. 5, in Allegan.

She was born Oct. 4, 1950, in Plainwell, the daughter of Malen and Dorothy (Webster) Earl. Jan worked at Kessler’s in Wayland, State Farm Insurance in Plainwell and Allegan and at Fifth Third Bank in Plainwell until her retirement.

In her free time Jan enjoyed quilting, crocheting, sewing, reading and attending class of 1965 gatherings. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Jan was a member of the Orangeville Episcopal Church. On Oct. 19, 1968, in Plainwell, she married Florian Drewyor who survives.

Also surviving are her children, Brian (Heather) Drewyor of Portage, Paul (Christa) Drewyor of Otsego and Amy (Scott) Buzzell of Allegan; 8 grandchildren, Gloria, Bailey, Kyla, Trenton, Jace, Cassidy, Hailey and Eliot; brothers, Jay and Arthur Earl along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Dennis and Diane.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place.

Private burial of ashes will take place at Oakhill Cemetery in Orangeville.

A celebration of Jan’s life will be held Thursday, Dec. 9, 2021 at the Orangeville Township Hall, with an opening eulogy and time of prayer starting at 11:30 a.m., with family continuing to greet friends until 2 p.m.
