Patricia Wolthuis of Wayland died Nov. 27 at the age of 76.

Pat was born on July 9, 1943, in Kent County, Michigan to Theodore and Margaret (Bronkhorst) Lewis. She worked at Pip Community Hospital for many years as a housekeeper and central supply technician, SPX of Wayland and the Laurels of Sandy Creek nursing home.

Pat was a longtime member of the Wayland United Methodist and Doster Reformed Church.

She was married on June 11, 1965, to Lawrence Wolthuis. They had four kids Doug, Tina, Jody and Larry Wolthuis. Pat was preceded in death by her parents Theodore and Margaret Lewis, husband, Lawrence Wolthuis, daughter Jody ( Wolthuis) Bartholomew, two sisters, Deloris Ingle and Norma Lenz and one great grandson Jacob Ketola.

Pat is survived by her siblings Marie (Jack) Farmer, Ben (Etta) Lewis, Nancy (Terry) LaFountain; children, Doug, Tina and Larry (Melinda) Wolthuis; son-in-law, Scott Bartholomew; brothers-in-law, Paul Wolthuis, Dan (Libby) Wolthuis, Jerry (Doris) Wolthuis and Terry (Jean) Wolthuis; sisters-in-law, Jackie Wolthuis, Betty Wolthuis, Betty (Babe) Wolthuis, Sally Wolthuis, and brother-in-law, Bill Kollar; grandchildren, Rachel (Wolthuis) O’Neill, Brittany Ogden, Cody Cline, Caleb Cline, Jason Wolthuis , Garrett Wolthuis Jessie Wolthuis, Zachary Wolthuis, Dylan VanVolkinburg, Jody VanVolkinburg; great grandchildren, Mackenzie Mencel, Alexis O’Neill , Susanna (Ketola) Wolthuis, Naveah Cline, Keaton Cline, Jaxson Kline, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life  will be will be held at the Wayland VFW, 735 S. Main St., from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday Dec. 8.
