Celebration of life will be Thursday for Matt Engle

Matthew Wayne Engle, age 41, died Saturday, May 29, at his home.

Matt had many hobbies, including playing hockey, riding motorcycles, doing home renovation projects, cooking and enjoying U of M football. He also had many outdoor hobbies such as camping, making knives, fishing and building “the biggest camp fires possible.” He loved spending time with his family, especially coaching his daughters’ little league softball games.

He is survived by his wife, Callie Engle; children Mia, Stella; parents Jim and Judy Engle; brother, Adam (Erin) Engle; parents-in-law Dave and Shelly Mussin; sister-in-law, Lauren Mussin; maternal grandmother, Betty Engle; and many extended uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his 7-year-old nephew, Griffin Engle, and his cousin, Max Engle.

A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home – Dorr Chapel, 4330 18th St., with visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.

In memory of Matt and in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
