Services for a former local man, Christopher Fifelski, 56 of Kent City, will be Friday and Saturday in Dorr and Wayland. Fifelski died Monday, June 1.
Chris was a devoted husband and father. He was a kind and caring brother and uncle. Chris loved nature and spending time outdoors. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and his gentle spirit.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Joan Fifelski; his children Anna Fifelski and Nicholas Fifelski; brothers and sisters: Lucy (Craig) Sell, Julianna Vittelli, Stanley Fifelski, Jr., Margaret Fifelski, Matt Fifelski, James (Alane) Fifelski, and Pete (Vicki) Fifelski; his mother-in-law Kathryn Aube; several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents Stanley, Sr. and Ann Fifelski; his brothers and sister: Jerry, Lawrence “Larry”, and Philip Fifelski and Alice Fifelski; and father-in-law George Aube.
Friends may visit with his family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 5, at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 312 N. Main St., Wayland, where a Rosary Service will be held at 6 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 6, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Dorr, with Father Harold Potter presiding. Interment will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery.
