Chris Rupke (left) has been selected as this year’s winner of the Katheryn Lorraine Brenner Outstanding Teacher Award. Rupke is an elementary art teacher. The honor is bestowed annually in honor of Kathy Brenner, who died at age 18 of cystic fibrosis in October 1993. The award was established by her parents, former Wayland Supt. Bob and Sandy Brenner.
