The Martin Clipper marching band was awarded first place in Class D competition at the Grandville Marching Invitational Saturday. Their score of 76.8 is the new overall highest score achieved by a Martin Band since last year’s finish of 75.2 at East Kentwood; a record that stood for at least 20 years! The band, directed by Noah Miller, also won awards for best music, best marching, and best percussion.
