A three-person CM Mike SeldenWayland City Council subcommittee will meet at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, to begin sifting through applications tor a city manager to succeed Mike Selden.

Selden is leaving his post in Wayland to take a job with the Michigan Townships Association. His last day will be Friday, Nov. 20, after serving the city for three and a half years.

Members of the subcommittee will include Councilwomen Lisa Banas and Tracy Bivins and either Mayor Tim Bala or Councilman Tim Rose. Joining them in the search will be Police Chief Steven Harper and Treasurer Cherie Parish.

The deadline for applying for the position is Friday, Nov. 30.

City officials hope to have a meeting Saturday, Nov. 14, to begin interviews with candidates who survive the resume process.
