State Rep. Jon Hoadley, a Democrat who represents the Kalamazoo area, will be guest speaker at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 27, at the new Carpenters and Millwrights training center on Reno Drive in Wayland.

Rep. Hoadley has just announced he is a candidate for Congress, challenging Republican incumbent Fred Upton, who has served in his seat since 1986.

The program is being sponsored by the Wayland chapter of the Democratic Party.
