Crews were packing down gravel over the culvert for the Cuddy Drain on Patterson Avenue Friday afternoon, and workmen from the Inter-County Drain Commission said they believe paving will begin Monday. The site is about a half mile south of the corner of Patterson and Chief Noonday Road on the border between Allegan and Barry counties and and Yankee Springs and Martin townships. The detour has been up for much of the fall, so local motorists will welcome completion.
