Dorr Township Trustee Dan Weber has changed jobs at least twice in the last year, and it’s wrecked havoc with dates and times of Township Board meetings.

Weber, an electrician by trade, last year asked the board to change its meeting nights from the last Tuesday to the last Monday of the month because he changed jobs. Then he asked to return to the last Monday night of the month. Not present at Monday night’s meeting, he informed Township Supervisor Jeff Miling he now will be available only for the last Thursday of the month for evening meetings.

“So we’ve changed the meeting dates three times in the last year,” observed Trustee Patty Senneker.

It’s a good thing all of his colleagues don’t see a problem with making a switch and are available the last Thursday evening of the month.

Miling Monday night moved and the board agreed to move next month’s budget hearing and meeting to March 24 instead of March 28. The board must adopt its 2016-17 fiscal year budget by March 31.

The board is expected to decide if all future meetings of the board for 2016 will be held on the last Thursday of each month except for November because of Thanksgiving.
