Greyson Schuelke, 14, of Dorr is still hospitalized after he was in a crash involving two dirt bikes June 21 now is reported by his mother to be breathing on his own.
Schuelke was in a crash on 146th Avenue near 17th Street last month and then had to be heavily sedated and in a medical coma
Cortney Cooper, his mother, said the weaning process has taken place over the last several days and signs for recovery are improving.
“He’s looking so much better on the outside he won’t believe how he looked the first couple of days.” She said. “We are working with his legs and arms moving things around for him to ease the rehabilitation when he wakes up…”
