Donald Bruce Stoughton to get burial military honors

Donald Bruce Stoughton, age 83, died Friday, March 8.

Donald Bruce was a wonderful husband and father who deeply cherished his family. Donald Bruce served his country in the United States Air Force. Overall, Donald Bruce was just a very happy and good man.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Carol Stoughton; children Robin Petty, Kenneth (Linda) Stoughton, Joyce (Paul) Smith, Daniel (Tammy) Clack; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters Gloria Snowden, Sharon Friel; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Heather Wright.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Wayland Chapel), 312 N. Main St., with military honors, beginning at 4:30 p.m. Donald Bruce will be laid to rest privately at Elmwood Cemetery in Wayland, Michigan.

In memory of Donald Bruce and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
