Popular Dorr Elementary Principal Kevin Zaschak submitted his resignation this week to take a position with the Kent ISD Special Education Department.

His last day at Dorr will be Friday, Dec. 20, and he will begin his new position on Jan. 6, 2020.

Zaschak came to Wayland Union Schools in 2009 to begin his administrative duties as athletic director and an Assistant Principal at Wayland Union High School.  He has served as principal at Dorr Elementary since 2013.

“This was a difficult decision for him to make and he has greatly enjoyed working with students and families at Dorr Elementary,” a spokesperson for Wayland schools said. “The district administration will be working in the coming days to continue to support the Dorr students, families and staff, and to provide a smooth transition.”
