The Dorr Township Board Thursday night adopted a resolution supporting the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) application titled, “Dorr Township North Park Upgrades” to the Spark Grant program for basketball and volleyball courts, mile track and electricity at North Park.

The move came after requests from the Township Parks Commission for the Township Board’s blessing in seeking the state grant. The Township Board, however, is not spending any money on the campaign or project.

In other business Thursday night, the board:

• Set meeting dates for 2023 as customarily the fourth Thursday or each month. The meeting dates for next year will be Jan. 26, Feb. 23, March 23, April 27, May 18, June 22, July 27, Aug. 24, Sept. 28, Oct. 26, Nov.r 30, and Dec. 21, all beginning at 7 p.m.
• Approved working with Lamayer Plumbing of Dorr on basement improvements for township employees to install a shower/restroom for EMS, firefighters, residents (during storms) and election workers (AVCB).
