A 42-year-old Dorr man was involved in a fatal traffic crash Thursday in Overisel Township that killed a 64-year-old Byron Center woman.

Troopers from Michigan State Police said the crash occurred at the intersection of 142nd Avenue and 40th Street southeast of Zeeland, at about 2:40 p.m.  Authorities said the Byron Center woman was driving a compact car, failed to stop at the stop sign and drove into the path of the pickup truck, driven by the Dorr man. The truck hit the driver’s side of the car, then went off the road and rolled.

The man from Dorr was hospitalized with multiple injuries. His condition was not released Friday.

State Police said neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be involved.
