The Dorr Township Board will have a special meeting at 7 p.m.Thursday, March 26, at township hall to interview and select a candidate for the open board trustee’s position.
The seat became vacant last month when Chandler Stanton announced his resignation abruptly after serving a little more than five years. He did not give a reason.
Thus far, two candidates have expressed interest, James Schaendorf and former Planning Commissioner Gordon Liefers.
The selection will have to seek election for the remaining two years of the post in the August primary. He or she will serve at least until the end of this year.
