Mary Lu Higbee, age 76, of Dorr, died Saturday, May 30, only three days after the death of her husband Ruben “Bud” Higbee,.

She is survived by her children: Gary and Peggy McCourry, Denise Greenbauer, Rick McCourry, Tamara and Edward Hodge; her grandchildren: LaQuan & Larry Fisher, Ray McCourry, Ryan & Lisa Greenbauer, Bradley & Jessica Greenbauer, Michaela McCourry, Kaitlyn McCourry, Nicholas McCourry, Matthew Chapman, Jaycob Chapman, Dylan Chapman, Mark Chapman, Danielle Chapman, and Krystal Hodge; her great-grandchildren Gianna Hodge and McKenzie Fisher; her sisters: Saraann (Don) Crider and Patricia (Dave) Madden; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd Capron and Mary (Nichols) Tinkham, her daughter Darlene Ann McCourry, and her brother John Capron.

Friends may gather with her family from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, June 4, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services, 4330 18th St., Dorr, where her service will be at 11 a.m., with Bishop Joe Openshaw officiating. Interment for both Mary and Bud Higbee will follow at Dorr Cemetery.
