The Hopkins Area Fire Department has announced that Eric Alberda  has been presented with the Firefighter of the Year Award. Fire Chief McKinnon said, “Eric has been invovled with several community events, has taken several extra trainings to improve his skills as a firefighter and an EMT and is always willing to take on extra duties around the fire station when asked. His service to the HAFD and the community is greatly appreciated.” Alberda also serves as Hopkins Township Clerk. (Photo supplied)
