Hopkins boys finished second and the Lady Vikings fourth behind NorthPointe Christian and Calvin Christian in the O-K Silver Conference meet Wednesday at Camp Jijak in Hopkins Township.
The Viking guys were bested only by NorthPointe, 37 to 52 in a six-team race. The boys against were led by Jack Estelle, who was individual runner-up at 16:56.84 and Kash Moored, who finished third at 17:09.84. Gavin Schans took the 14th spot at 19:29.81, Grady Johnston was 18th in 19:48.83 and Cole VerStrate captured 27th place.
Senior Allison Breining led the Lady Vikings with a time of 21:59.67, good for ninth place. She was followed by Lillian Dewey12th, Izabella Jordan 17th, Grace Schumacher 21st and Lachlan Merren 22nd.
