The Dorr Township Board Thursday evening agreed to take the plunge and hold its first meeting in its new digs at the former CrossWind Church site further east on 142nd Avenue. The board had been meeting at 4176 18th St,, the corner of 142nd Avenue and 18th Street in downtown Dorr since 1990 when the “new township hall” was built. The Dorr Township Fire Department now will take over the building. Shown above is the meeting room inside the former church, when Townshiop Board members will gather at 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 18. The Planning Commission will meet one more time inside the downtown Dorr former Township Hall at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, and then have its first meeting at the new location in January 2026.
