Former Wayland man Paul Kuhtic dies of ALS at 56 years old

Paul Jay Kuhtic of photo_20151007_WM0050348_0_kuhtic_paul_for_obit_20151007Grandville, formerly of Wayland, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, just nine days short of his 57th birthday.
ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, came into Paul’s life two and a half years ago.
Paul was happiest when surrounded by his three grandchildren and family. He loved to be outside, and had a true passion for having the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Cheryl; daughters and grandchildren, Julie and Brian VanTil (Regan, Collins), Autumn Kuhtic (Ava); sisters and brother, Judy and Bob Anderson, Joseph and Valerie Kuhtic, Helen and Mike Martin, Denise and Bob Wisniewski, Marilyn and Tom Wilcox; many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Jeremy Visser officiating.
