Former WHS athlete joins Allegan Co. Sheriff’s Dept.

The newest deputy on the Allegan County Sheriff’s Department is a familiar face to Wayland High School sports enthusiasts. Carter Morse, a WHS graduate, was sworn in this week. He was a star quarterback on the football team and all-conference performer in baseball. He is shown here with his mother, Keri. His father, Ryan, passed away more than a year ago.
