Jerriann K Deming, age 77, of Hudsonville, died Sunday, Dec. 3, after battling cancer for two and a half years.

She was the wife for 48 years of longtime former Wayland High School Principal Jack Deming. She was always by his side and supported him in all his endeavors.

She was also mother to her daughter, Kari (Jeff Spakowski) Deming, and adoring grandma to Keenan Trial, Isaiah Trial and Kai Spakowski.

She was quick with a smile or laugh, readily offered kind words and warm hugs, and loved to play games and go to garage sales.

She also enjoyed a 30-year career as a chairside dental assistant in Fremont and Wayland.

She is also survived by siblings Mike (Levan) Kuck, Judy DeKuiper, Dave (Carol Jones) Kuck, and Doug (Jenny) Kuck broader family Judy (Tom) Kuieck, and Bruce (Linda) Deming, as well as myriad nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Ron (Karen) Kuck, and her parents, Violet and Earl (aka Jerry) Kuck.

Services will be held at noon Thursday, Dec. 7, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Jamestown) 2371 Riley St., Hudsonville with Pastor Jeremy Kreuze officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 11 to 11:45 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Jamestown) 2371 Riley St., Hudsonville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society

This is sad news indeed. Condolences for Jack and all family and friends of Jerri. A lovely lady and beautiful soul.
