Wayland High School choir students Ariel White, Lexi DeLaney, Gracelynn Jorden and Jenna Hendricks have received 1 ratings and will advance to the State Solo and Ensemble competition.
They earned the high ratings at the District Solo and Ensemble festival this past Saturday. Both the WHS Honors Choir and Select Choir received Division 2 ratings from the judges.
Alex Oosterhouse, Bella Newcomb, Connor Bush, and Molly Stack each earned 2 ratings individually.
A choir program spokesperson said, “These students demonstrated outstanding dedication and perseverance, especially while managing missed rehearsals due to snow days. We congratulate them on their excellent performances and wish our state qualifiers the best of luck.”
