Jack Manke, 82, of Hopkins died Monday, April 16.

Jack was stationed in Germany while in the U.S. Army and played in the band. He worked for 30 years for Steelcase as a hi-lo driver, retiring in 1992. The last 26 summers were spent camping at Schnable Lake with family, and friends. Jack couldn’t pass up a garage sale and enjoyed a good poker game.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marcia; his children Linda (Mike) Heppe and John (Kandi) Manke and son-in-law Jim Davis; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie Davis.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 am Tuesday, April 24, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1871 136th Ave., Dorr. The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Dorr Chapel, 4330 18th St, and one hour prior to mass at church. A rosary will be said at 2 p.m. Monday.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice.
