Marilyn Duryea, 87, of Hopkins, died Friday, Nov. 13, at Ely Manor Nursing Home in Allegan.
Mrs. Duryea was born Feb. 16, 1928, in Hopkins Township, the daughter of Harry and Velma (Nicolai) Rankins. Marilyn graduated from Hopkins High School, and helped her husband, Cleon, on the family farm all of her life. She loved to bake, cook and can for her family, and enjoyed her time with the grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Cleon; her three children: Charlene and Richard Landrum, Dennis and Cindy Duryea, and Jodi Morris; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Geraldine Laird.
Friends may meet with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Comer Skinner will officiate. Interment in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township.
