Marjorie Ann Haas, 86, of Allegan, died Wednesday, April 13, at her home.
Mrs. Haas was born Jan. 20, 1930, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Frank and Leah (Tangway) Williams.
Marjorie spent her working career as a secretary for the Michigan Department of Transporation (MDOT), retiring in 1985 after 22 years of service. She was also a member of South Monterey United Methodist Church in Hopkins.
Marjorie truly loved her needle crafts, among her favorites were sewing, quilting and cross-stitching. She also enjoyed getting time to read and losing herself in a good book. Marjorie had a kind heart and volunteered at the Allegan County Medical Care Community.
Marjorie is survived by her children: David and Nancy Haas, Donald and Debra Haas, and Susan Bolenbaugh; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, James and Elaine Williams; 1 sister, Frances Bowen; and 2 sister-in-laws: Rose Haas and Beverly and Robert Niewoonder.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Haas; brother, Raymond Williams and 3 sisters: Betty Immekus, Jane Castle, Mary Louise Nuyen.
Friends may meet with the family from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., Pastor Dominic Tommy and Pastor Linda Burton-Collier officiating. Interment at Hudson Corners Cemetery.
