Cheryl Genther of Dorr died Friday, Sept. 20. She was 74.

Cheryl had a bright and bubbly personality and loved to joke and laugh. She loved her family and time spent with them. Cheryl worked for Wayland Area Ambulance for many years and later worked at Corewell Health for more than 30 years.

She will be remembered by her daughters Tarah Genther, Jennifer (Michael) Schuette; grandchildren Anna, Eric, Izak; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Darlene DeVries.

A memorial service celebrating Cheryl’s life will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 28, at St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4125 18th St., Dorr, with visitation one hour prior to the service.

In memory of Cheryl and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
