Funeral is Friday at Jijak camp for Laura Taylor

Laura Alice Taylor died Monday, Nov. 11, at Medilodge Nursing Home in Holland, She was 32 years old.

She was born on Oct. 14, 1992, to her late parents Dennis and Jennifer (Hall) Taylor. Laura grew up in the Hopkins area and proudly attained her GED in 2011.

She worked as a cashier at both the Harding’s in Wayland and Village Market in Allegan. Laura could make friends anywhere she went, with a beautiful smile and infectious personality. Family was everything to her and she loved investing time in them. She was a proud Native American with the Pokagon Tribe and would make many memories at Tribal events with friends and family.

She took time to be at church every week and pouring into people who needed it. She loved drawing, and coloring in her spare time creating beautiful portraits and scenes. Animals also had a special place in her heart and visiting the zoo would bring peace to her soul.

She was preceded in death by her parents Dennis and Jennifer (Hall).

She is survived by her sister Brenda (Randy) Toll; cousins Joe and (Jennifer) Hall, and Melody Hall; little cousins Alex, Phillip, Julian, Nick, Savannah and Elijah.

Her funeral will be at Jijak Camp in Hopkins Township at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, with two hours of visitation beforehand from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Immediate family to proceed to Salem Township Cemetery for her graveside.

Refreshments to follow the funeral at Jijak Camp Cafeteria until the family has come back from the graveside for the luncheon to begin.
