Jeremy Lee Hibma, age 19, died Saturday, April 1, as a result of a traffic crash.
A 2016 graduate of Hopkins High School, took long car rides with his friends listening to music and finding good spots to watch the sunset. Jeremy never turned down a friend when they needed help and he had the broken tow straps to prove it.
Jeremy is survived by his parents, Brian and Joan Hibma; his sister, Angela Hibma; his grandparents, Wayne and Sharon Helmholdt, Marvin and June Hibma; his uncles and aunts, Carlene and Tom Cooke, Doug and Barb Helmholdt, Denise and Mark Scholten, David and Amanda Helmholdt, Marcia and Brian Tava, Bruce and Julie Hibma; and many loving cousins.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Katie Ann Hibma.
A time for relatives and friends to visit with Jeremy’s family will be held from 1 to 3 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Dorr Christian Reformed Church, 4220 – 18th St. The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Dorr Christian Reformed Church. Pastor Cedric Parsels will officiate. Interment will be at Dorr Cemetery.
