Gary Belka, a 1963 graduate of Wayland High School, died of cancer this morning at his home near the corner of Church and West Superior streets. He was 73.

Belka worked as produce manager for Harding’s Market in Wayland before taking a job with General Motors.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary Lou Belka; daughter, Bobbie (Alann) VanDuine; grandchildren, Trent and Ryleigh VanDuine; daughter-in-law, Joanne Belka; sisters, LaDonna Rybiski and Janice (Dennis) Misak; brother-in-law, Harry Pattock; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Gladys Belka; father and mother in-law, Russell and Margaret Kiel; brother, Larry Belka; sister, Yvonne Pattock, and son Gary Belka Jr.

Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Therese Catholic Church in Wayland
