Funeral mass Wednesday for Barbara Lenhart, 65

Barbara “Aunt Barb” Harriet Lenhart, age 65 of Byron Center, died Saturday, Jan. 15, after battling cancer.

Barb was a beloved wife and mother who loved Jesus with all her heart. Time spent with her family and friends brought her much joy. She was seen as a mother by many and also enjoyed spending much of her time gardening and volunteering at her church.

She was born on March 9, 1956, to the late Raymond and Violet Bos. After graduating from Byron Center High School, Barb went on to marry her husband, Stephan Lenhart on September 18, 1976. Together they had four children; Adam, Joesph, Kevin, and Stephanie.

Barb is survived by husband, Stephan Lenhart; brother, Jack (Ann) Bos; sister, Mary Cook; brother, William (Kathy) Bos; four children Adam (Amber) Lenhart, Joesph (Donielle) Lenhart, Kevin (Lyndsey) Lenhart, Stephanie (Joseph) Braspenninx and 12 grandchildren Olivia, Kaden, Mikayla, Karter, Ruby, Logan, Khloe, Lucy, Oliver, Colton, Kaylie, and Leo. She is also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, Dorr Chapel – 4330 18th St., with Prayers of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at St. Mary’s Visitation Parish, 2459 146th Ave., with Father Derda and Father Steve officiating.

A graveside ceremony will be held immediately following mass.

    Steve you and your whole family are in my prayers. Barb was a very special person and my children remember her days as a their bus driver for when SMV was then Holy Family School May she Rest In Peace
