Robert L. Bieber age 92 of Byron Center, died Friday, July 27.

Robert enjoyed bowling, gardening, golfing and watching Tigers baseball. He served his country during WWII and was a Purple Heart recipient.

He is survived by his children Ronald (Vicki) Bieber, Deborah (Paul) Rewa, Pamela (Dan) Kreuzer and Carol Bieber; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters-in-law Burrell Stein, Dennis and Shirley Weber and Barb and Dennis Roys; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dolores and son Gregory; his parents, August and Elizabeth Bieber (Schaendorf); his sibling, Everett (Delores) Bieber; his in-laws Marvin and Kathy Weber, Phyllis Stein, Maurice and Gert Weber and Mary Kaye and Bill VanPelt.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, July 30, at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 146th Avenue, Byron Center. Father Christopher Derda and Father Steve Rodrigo will officiate. The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 2067 84th St., Byron Center, with the Rosary to be said at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Visitation Parish and School.
