Doreen Theresa Van Duine, age 91, died Saturday, Sept. 13, at Byron Manor.
Doreen loved gardening, playing cards, and traveling to Texas and Florida with Milton. She was a wonderful baker, and her cinnamon rolls were second to none! Doreen loved cooking and baking, especially for the holidays, and keeping her house packed with her family and grandkids – she loved each moment spent with them
Doreen is survived by her children Lynnette (Scott) Gallegos, Juane (Janice) Van Duine, Michele (Patrick) Schrager, Alann (Bobbie) Van Duine; grandchildren David (Maraissa) Van Duine, Rachael (Travis) Marston, Ashley (Zach) Muskin, Haley (Drew) Lozano, Trenton (Erika) Van Duine, Ryleigh (Alec) Krueger; great-grandchildren Jacob, Julie, Alivia, Sophia, Zoey; special friends, Shirley and Norm DeVries; and many extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept.16, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Dorr Chapel), 4330 18th St.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 17, at St. Sebastian Catholic Church (Historic Church), 9408 Wilson Ave. SW, Byron Center.
Doreen will be laid to rest at Dorr Cemetery in Dorr Township, In memory of Doreen and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Interim Hospice.
