Roger Olin Greeley, age 72,died Friday, March 6 at his home.

Born Jan. 4, 1948, Roger retired after 38 years at Consumers Energy and the last six years at Centershot Gun Range. He loved his family time, hunting, and fishing. He was a man of many talents and hobbies. He was a strong believer in gun rights and took pride in helping and teaching others the safety and pride of ownership.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Margie Greeley; children Roger (Tracey) Greeley, Rob (Joy) Miller, Mary (Walt) Robinson, Mark (Cindy) Greeley, Ron (Becky) Miller, David (Julian Kratochvil) Greeley; grandchildren Jill (Matt) Kukulies, Emery (Matt) Koetje, Julie (Tanner) Wanzer, Allison (Austin) Fordham, Hunter (Mariya) Robinson, Halley Robinson, Adam Greeley, James Miller, Matthew Miller, Amiya Greeley; great-grandchildren Lily and Hunter Jr. Robinson, Skyler Stoffers, Maddily Koetje; siblings Bonnie (Gordon) Welch, Elizabeth Kiraly, Dennis (Kim) Greeley; brother-in-law, Steve Weber; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leo and Frances Greeley; granddaughter, Cherokee Stoffers; sister, Delores Weber; and brother-in-law, Joe Kiraly.

Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 9, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home, 4330 18th St. Dorr, with a scripture service beginning at 3:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church, 2459 146th Ave, Byron Center. Father Christopher Derda will officiate. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Visitation Cemetery.

In honor of Roger, contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Visitation Catholic Church.
