Lucy Fifelski, age 100, died Monday, April 29, at the Laurels of Sandy Creek in Wayland.

Lucy was born to Frank and Josephine Marcinek on Oct. 19, 1923. She was the second youngest of eight children.

She was a lifetime member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, where she was baptized and married. Lucy was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, Our Lady Queen of Heaven Circle, and a very active member in TOPS.

Lucy always made a warm and inviting home for her family. She was a great baker, cook, and she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, needlepoint and various crafts.

Lucy always kept a big garden, and canned and preserved many fruits and vegetables. She was an avid Detroit Tiger fan and enjoyed listening to the games.

Lucy is survived by her 11 children Sr. Constance Fifelski OP, Janet Sage, Pauline (Craig) Gallagher, Michael (Lisa) Fifelski, Kenneth (Mari) Fifelski, Sam (Karen) Fifelski, Laura (Patrick) Champion, Frederick (Mary) Fifelski, Charles (Kathy) Fifelski, Sr. Jacoba FSGM, Alan (Lori) Fifelski; 37 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and many extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Fifelski; siblings Stan (Kay) Marcinek, Celia (Roy) Koperski, Helen (Nate) Marklevitz, Eddie (Adeline) Marcinek, Al (Dorothy) Marcinek, Julia (Larry) Bialk, Harry Marcinek; and son-in-law, Jack Sage.

Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services (Dorr Chapel), 4330 18th St.,  with prayers of the Rosary at 3 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1871 136th Ave., Dorr.

In memory of Lucy and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.
