Katie Coppens, age 81 died Thursday, Nov. 23.

She is survived by her husband Bob of 58 years; children Bert Coppens, Candace (Kirk) Reed, Chris Coppens, and Carrie (Jim) VanZwol; grandchildren Rachael Coppens, Robbie Coppens, Lexi Zuyddyk, Dillan VanZwol, Daltan VanZwol, Francesca Reed, Dawson VanZwol, and Christopher Coppens; great-grandchildren Kyle Coppens, Kamryn Coppens, Reggie Coppens, Juniper Zuyddyk, and Kinsleigh VanZwol; sister Pat Scheele, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Marie Stout; and brother David Stout.

Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 8 p.m Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Home in Wayland, 312 N. Main St. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, at SS Cyril & Methodist Church, 159 131st Ave., Wayland, with Father Alphonse Savarimuthu presiding. Interment will be at SS Cyril & Methodius Cemetery.

In honor of Katie, contributions may be made to the family, for the care of her husband, Robert Coppens.
