Marvin Door, age 82, of Cphoto_20150709_WM0043348_0_door_marvin2_20150709utlerville, formerly of Wayland,died Wednesday, July 8.
Marv was born in Moline on Jan. 26, 1933, the youngest of 13 children to John and Anna Door.
Along with his brothers, Ed and Chet, Marv owned Door Brothers Lumber Company. He went on to work for Bergsma Brothers Furniture before retiring from Surplus Industrial Supply.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joan (Lobbezoo); children, Marcia and Thomas Ziemer, Marva Moriarty, Douglas and Patricia Door, Michael and Kim Door; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Kingsley and Ruth Jacobson; sister-in-law, Patricia Door; brother-in-law, Alton “Butch” and Marcia Lobbezoo; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Timothy Marc Door; grandson, Jason Tuinstra; six brothers and four sisters.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.  Sunday  at the Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St., Cutlerville.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, at Dutton United Reformed Church, 6950 Hanna Lake SE, with Rev. Brian Najapfour officiating. Interment in Hooker Cemetery.
