Born Feb. 19, 1928, Bud worked 18 years for Carl Goodwin and Sons in Allegan as a heavy equipment mechanic. They built many of the “Super Highway” systems in Southwest Michigan. He was also a life-long area farmer with the help of his wife, who ran a 1,200 head hog operation, farrow to finish. In his retirement, Bud took up wood-working and made many beautiful pieces of furniture and knick-knacks that he gladly gave away.

He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Virginia Rose Livingston Miller; his children Ron and Karen Miller, Mona and Chris Andre; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; his sister, Joyce Chipman; his sisters-in-law Patty (Burl) Curtis of CA, Carol Landis of Dayton, OH, Betty White of Jacksonville, FL, Dianne (Jim) Papp of Tipp City, OH, Rose Livingston of Morris, IL; and their special friend, Linda Walbridge.

A vigil service will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, followed by visitation until 8 p.m, at Kubiak-Cook Funeral Services in Dorr, 4330 18th Ave. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 1871 136th St. in Dorr. Father Christopher Derda will officiate.  Interment at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
