Joyce Lucille Jackson, 79 of Hamilton died early Tuesday, June 28.

Born Feb. 8, 1943, in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Katherine (Rogers) Gott and the wife of the late Sonny Lee Jackson. Joyce also faced life gracefully with any hardship it brought to her, including the loss of her beloved husband early in her life.

Joyce is survived by her children, Janet (Timothy) Collins, Karen (Israel) Acklen, Jeffrey Jackson (fiancée Sandie), Michael (Erin Goerner) Jackson; her daughter of love, Chaelynn Perkins; seven grandchildren, Tiannette, Lachrisha, Timothy, Ryan, Jeremy, Serrinea and Sonny; and eight great-grandchildren.

Along with her husband and parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Richie Jackson; daughter, Joyce Anne Jackson; granddaughter, Heather Collins; and her six siblings, Dennis Gott, David Gott, Richard Gott, Beatrice Smith, Robert Gott and Leo Gott.

The family will receive friends Friday, July 1, at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m., at which time the funeral will begin. Burial will immediately follow in Salem Township Cemetery.
